About CWI

The Construction Wellbeing Initiative is a non-profit initiative that works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all construction workers. We believe that everyone deserves to have a healthy and happy work life, and we are committed to providing resources and support to construction workers and companies who are struggling.

CWI is a result of a dynamic partnership between SkillSignal and Princeton University’s Kahneman-Treisman Center for Behavioral Science and Public Policy to provide construction workers with access to evidence-based mental health resources, interventions, and programs.

We also work to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the construction industry and to break down the stigma associated with mental illness.

The Kahneman-Treisman Center for Behavioral Science and Public Policy is a research center at Princeton University that studies the intersection of behavioral science and public policy.

The center’s work focuses on understanding how human behavior can be influenced to improve public outcomes.

Dynamic Partnership

The Construction Wellbeing Initiative, SkillSignal, and Princeton University’s Kahneman-Treisman Center are committed to working together to elevate construction workers’ wellbeing through science, technology, and collaboration.

We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of construction workers.

Our Work

The Construction Wellbeing Initiative’s work is focused on three key areas:

  1. Providing resources and support to construction workers who are struggling with mental health challenges. We offer a variety of resources and support services to construction workers, including:
    • Mental health counseling
    • Peer support groups
    • Educational workshops
    • Jobsite Interventions
  2. Raising awareness about the importance of mental health in the construction industry. We work to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the construction industry and to break down the stigma associated with mental illness. We do this through a variety of channels, including:
    • Public education campaigns
    • Media outreach
    • Partnerships with construction organizations
  3. Advocating for policies that support the mental health of construction workers. We work to advocate for policies that support the mental health of construction workers. We do this by working with policymakers, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of construction workers are met.

Our Impact

We are inspired by the nobility and hard work that is Construction, and we care about every hardhat on the job.

Our interventions are designed with behavioral science principles in mind, are simple to implement, and have a significant impact on the wellbeing of our workforces.

We aim to continue to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the construction industry and breaking down the stigma associated with mental illness.

We are committed to continuing our work to improve the mental health of construction workers and to building a healthier future for the construction industry.
